Synopsis



Gonaba, appointed Inspector of Schools in Bangui after studying in France, suddenly decides to give up everything to live in the heart of the equatorial forest, the domain of the Babingas pygmies. His project: to help them emancipate themselves from the "great men" whose racism is intolerable to him, forty years after the country's independence. At the end of a long ordeal, an immutable truth: happiness is the most relative thing in the world.
