Helena's Shadow is the story of a love triangle formed by Helena (Julia Lemmertz), her cousin Laerte (Gabriel Braga Nunes) and Virgilio (Humberto Martins), Laerte's best friend. Although sharing her cousin's feelings, Helena refuses to let herself be dominated and openly flirts with Virgilio, who has always been secretly in love with her. This provoked a violent argument with Virgilio that ended in a fight. The dead believer was quick to bury him to hide the evidence.
